Chord Cruiser Mode

Generate up to 110,000 chord combinations to craft your own progressions.

Set the groovebox to Chord Cruiser mode and an exclusive algorithm selects several musically compatible chords from its database and suggests them. You can preview these chords and assign your favorite to a key, which automatically triggers the next suggestion.

This intuitive workflow makes it easy to create your own tracks.

Three Integrated Effects

Control 3 integrated effects intuitively via the XY pad:

• Arpeggiator: Generates melodies from chords.
• Delay: Adds depth to sounds and gives your music a sense of space.
• Ducker: Creates dynamics and emphasis, producing a sense of motion in your tracks.

Running Direction Feature

Change the playback direction of 4x4 step-sequence patterns with a single button press.

Choose from four options — right, down, clockwise, and counterclockwise — to discover new phrases and rhythms. This feature opens up fresh ideas so you can create innovative chord sequences or explore rhythms from different genres.

145 Sound Presets + 16 Drum Kits

Designed for a wide range of genres, you can spark new ideas during the creative process by switching between 145 sound presets and 16 drum kits.

Tune your sound presets with the low-pass filter and amp envelope to taste. These parameters can be automated per pattern, allowing you to dynamically change both tone and chord sequences to create lively phrases.

Key and Scale Settings

Play with creative freedom and never hit a wrong note. When you set a key and scale in Chordcat, only the notes that belong to the selected key and scale will be mapped to the keyboard.

Generous Workspace and Versatile Connectivity

Chordcat’s workspace offers 8 tracks, 16 patterns, and 128 steps (8 bars). Thanks to MIDI OUT/THRU, MIDI IN, and USB Type-C ports, Chordcat easily integrates with external synthesizers and DAW software on PC/Mac systems.

The DJC-TAS1 bag is the matching transport bag for your Alphatheta Chordcat and reliably protects your compact synthesizer on the way to the studio, rehearsal, live set, or DJ gig.
