Case highly toxic and smelly - but flute very good

instead of case a nice flute cleaning or drying cloth would be more helpful as a goodie

When I was looking for a sopranino recorder I also found this soprano. I decided to order it as well because it looked pretty and had good reviews. My parcel was delivered this morning and here's my first impression of the recorder. The wood-look finish looks noticably less convincing than the one on my Aulos recorder, and all three pieces of the recorder have visible seams. Before I played it I had to clean out some residual little pieces of plastic that were still there from the molding process. There were some specks of plastic stuck on the head joint that I've been able to scratch off carefully. The 'imitation leather' case is not from Classic Cantabile but from Kirstein.de and has an unpleasant smell. It's also fairly narrow, I don't think I'd be able to fit a handkerchief in there to use with the cleaning rod to dry it after playing. The recorder sounds lovely, apart from the low c. Even when I pull out the foot joint it sounds sharp, which is very frustrating. I cannot recommend this recorder because it's not perfectly in tune.

The flute has a good sound and is very suitable especially if you do not come to play so often

Beautiful instrument at a very attractive price, imitating wonderfully stained boxwood and ivory. The sound is good, only high C # is difficult to obtain, sometimes it comes out very well if you know how to adapt your blow, but less well than on an Aullos, I could check it. Apart from this little problem, this instrument is a jewel for the price. I never imagined that one day we would see beautiful copies of old ABS flutes. Congratulations to the industrialists who have developed this, they will seduce many flute lovers.

For the price, this is a good flute for the beginner.
Unfortunately, the wiping rod is included but not the cloth.
