With no more cable management to worry about, you can fully enjoy the new freedom while playing—at home, jamming with friends, or on stage. During soundcheck you can check your sound from anywhere in the venue to find the perfect settings for your audience. You can also interact more freely with bandmates and make your stage performance more dynamic and entertaining.

Extremely Fast BOSS Wireless Technology

After the powerful BOSS wireless technology first appeared in the wireless Katana-Air guitar amplifier, the WL-20 series now benefits from that outstanding sound quality and wide dynamic range. The systems operate in the 2.4 GHz frequency band and automatically find the optimal channel to provide maximally stable audio transmission without dropouts. Also, thanks to the extremely low latency of just 2.3 ms, you won't hear any timing lag when you play. Up to 14 BOSS wireless systems can be used simultaneously in one room, allowing multiple musicians to enjoy wireless freedom at the same time.

Connect and Play

The WL-20L wireless system is as easy to use as a conventional guitar cable. Plug the compact transmitter into your instrument's input while the matching receiver is connected to a pedal or amplifier. That's it!

Automatic Wireless Setup

With the WL-20 series you won't get bogged down in tricky channel setups. Simply pair the transmitter and receiver for ten seconds and the WL-20L automatically handles the optimal wireless connection.

Easy USB Charging

When paired, the batteries built into the transmitter and receiver can be charged using a standard USB adapter (5 V / 500 mA or higher), the same adapters used for current smartphones and tablets. If needed, the transmitter and receiver can also be charged separately. A Micro-USB cable is included.

WL-20L: Without Cable Simulation

The WL-20L model is identical to the WL-20 but operates without cable simulation. This makes the WL-20L ideal for instruments whose sound isn't heavily affected by the capacitive effect—such as acoustic and electric guitars with built-in preamps and/or active pickups, as well as line-level instruments like a keytar (strap-on keyboard) or the Roland Aerophone. The WL-20L also works very well with passive pickup systems—especially if you don't want the slight high-end roll-off introduced by cable simulation.
