The YAS-480 saxophone is based on the popular YAS-475 predecessor model and features a new low F#/C# connection for more precise adjustment, while the new octave mechanism (from the 62 series) allows the use of custom S-necks.
Compatible With Other S-Necks
The newly developed octave mechanism allows you to choose between the included S-neck (62 style) and those designed for the Custom Z and Custom EX saxophones (sold separately).
Improved Low F#/C# Connection
The improved low F#/C# connection with a longer lever supports closing the low C# key, improves response of the low notes, and enables consistently precise adjustment.
Split Key Guard & Seesaw Mechanism (Rocker)
The split key guard has adjustable felt stops for precise tuning and ensures musical flexibility. The seesaw mechanism (rocker) supports the function of the keys for the left little finger.
Tuner With Metronome
This versatile device is the perfect companion for virtually any instrument. Not only can almost any instrument be tuned accurately using the contact microphone and wide tuning range, but the built-in metronome also keeps everything in perfect tempo. The calibratable tuner offers 5 tuning modes, a tone generator, and a jack input with contact microphone. The metronome features a wide tempo range from 30 to 260 beats per minute, 9 time signatures, and various rhythm subdivisions.
