The Lechgold CF-21 is a solid bassoon for beginners and amateurs, which is interesting for bassoonists with smaller hands. It is perfectly suited as a student instrument for music making class and wind class, as a challenge for woodwind players in the music society or as a complementary timbre in church & chamber music ensembles as well as in the classical woodwind quintet or symphonic wind orchestra.

Stable and well thought-out construction for optimal playability

Apart from the high quality varnish and the well-balanced intonation, the aspects that guarantee a pleasant playing feel, stability & safety are also noteworthy: Brass ring-reinforced plug-in joints on bass bar and bottom of the wing, metal clasp between both parts, which prevents unintentional twisting of the instrument and accidental damage to the mechanism. Hard rubber sleeve at the top of the wing (where the S-bow is mounted) provides stability, further sleeves in the finger holes for defined grip feeling.

The balance holder serves as a "bridge" from the neck strap to the instrument, allows the adjustment of the optimal holding position, posture & breathing.

Robust & practical instrument case The bassoon is optimally protected in the robust hard case with weatherproof outer material which keeps rough impacts away from the bassoon. It's padded on the inside and holds the individual parts of the bassoon + the extensive accessories.

Safety & comfort are provided by the hard rubber feet, the reinforced & ergonomic handle and the adjustable backpack set. This can be quickly latched and hidden when not used. A highlight is the exterior compartment that can store sheet music up to size A3.
