The 1847 LIGHTNING features a comb body made of solid polished stainless steel, which not only adds extra weight to the instrument (160 g / 5.6 oz) but also contributes a highly resonant tonal component.
The shiny stainless steel cover plates with special 3D 1847 embossing and side openings are fully rounded on the mouth side and widely open on the back. They enable optimal sound projection towards the audience.
