The disadvantage is that the varnish is super soft, absolutely not scratch resistant. The instrument looks much older than it is after just one year. Another drawback is that there is no holder for the harp with the marching booklet, a real loss. After a year, the windpipe already has blisters in the varnish from corrosion, which worries me.
All in all a top instrument, but there is still a lot to do to improve the varnish. My next one will be the same instrument again.
