The OBB-400 Oberkrainer Bellfront Baritone features a brass body, 4 nickel silver piston valves, and a clear lacquer finish. The fixed soldered bell has a diameter of 300 mm, and the bore measures 14.5 mm. Included accessories are a gigbag and a mouthpiece.

The only drawback is the mouthpiece. It takes some getting used to, but that can be replaced! Thus it is the ideal beginner, but also advanced, possibly even professional instrument.

- visually I could not find any defects
- have played only about 1 hour with the instrument
- have still missed the crisp sound, this may be due to me or the mouthpiece
- the slides are not smooth and can be threaded only with difficulty
- the valve cover of the 1st valve could not be loosened by hand
- all other valves could be removed and oiled without problems
- did not want to use force on the 1st 'valve and have therefore sent the instrument back.
