The strap distributes the weight of the saxophone nicely over the back. For my son, 8 years old (130cm), it was only too heavy at the neck. The strap is easy to adjust and has many options to accommodate the size and stature of the player.
However, the buckles don't hold very well. My son often has to readjust them because the buckles slide down and the saxophone hangs too low again. This is stupid for beginners who still have to pay attention to all the details and don't have any automatisms for handling the instrument. Therefore 1 star deduction.
