Lechgold Alphorn Handpipe Alder Bb

Finally Different Tunings With Just One Alphorn!

As a long-established maker of wind instruments, Lechgold now offers alphorn handpipes individually! Across five varieties and three tunings, every player can find the handpipe that fits their instrument.

Adding one (or more) extra handpipe not only lets you expand your repertoire by many pieces; it also keeps you flexible when playing with other wind players — at an alphorn meet, for example — so you’re always right in the mix.

Different Tunings With Optional Handpipes

Swap in a different handpipe and you can change your alphorn’s tuning quickly and easily. It lets you tackle a broader repertoire without hauling a whole second instrument—saving weight, space, and money.

Easy And Clean Response

The new connection ferrules give every Lechgold alphorn component an exact fit, ensuring perfect response and accurate intonation—even when you use optional handpipes.

Gold-Anodized Connection Ferrules

Unlike conventional sockets, our gold-anodized connections deliver exceptional abrasion resistance and retain a perfect fit for years. Scratching or mutual oxidation is prevented, so the precisely crafted ferrules seal airtight.

100% Made in Austria

Lechgold alphorns are crafted by hand from Austrian woods sourced from higher alpine regions. It’s important that the trees grew slowly so the growth rings lie close together, which improves resonance. The wood is dried slowly over several years to avoid stresses and warping.
