Martin D-13E Retro Walnut Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar!
Spruce and "Pennsylvania-rosewood" walnut combine in the D-13E Retro to deliver powerful lows, clarity, and strong projection. Style 28–inspired appointments and modern comfort make it your gateway to powerful dreadnought tone and classic Martin character.
The Martin D-13E Retro Walnut offers a powerful voice and timeless style in a dreadnought body. For players seeking projection, volume, and low-end strength without sacrificing balance, this model is a reliable choice. Its dreadnought body fills the room with sound, making it ideal for strummers, singer-songwriters, and performers who need an impressive presence.
A solid spruce top provides crisp highs and dynamic headroom, while the solid back and sides of black walnut deliver warmth and sustain. Walnut, locally referred to as "Pennsylvania-rosewood", has long been an underrated tonewood that offers tonal complexity that rivals rosewood while retaining its own earthy character. Over time the sound of walnut improves, with the low end becoming fuller and warmer as the wood matures. The scalloped X-bracing enhances resonance and gives this guitar both volume and responsiveness.
