The Gibson Hummingbird was Gibson's first square-shouldered acoustic model and, since its introduction in 1960, has stood among the most popular and recognizable acoustic guitars in the world. Renowned for its versatility, it sits equally at home behind open-position chords and ripping acoustic lead lines, and countless artists across many genres have relied on its voice.

Epiphone is proud to present the Hummingbird Standard EC, an Inspired by Gibson take on the world-famous Hummingbird with notable updates that make this legendary guitar better than ever. The Hummingbird Standard EC features an all-solid construction, including a solid mahogany back and solid mahogany sides paired with a solid spruce top. This is the classic Hummingbird tonewood recipe that delivers the sweet tones the Hummingbird is famous for. The body includes a cutaway that makes this "Bird" even more expressive and gives easier access to the upper registers of the fretboard. The mahogany neck is topped with a rosewood fretboard fitted with 20 standard frets and decorated with beautiful mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays.

The belly-up bridge is also rosewood, and the saddle and nut are made of bone. The redesigned pickguard is epoxy-style and adorned with the iconic hummingbird, butterfly and flower motifs that are a visual hallmark of the Hummingbird. High-quality Grover Rotomatic tuners deliver solid tuning stability, so you can spend more time playing and less time tuning. The integrated Fishman electronics include an onboard tuner and side-mounted controls for volume and EQ, making this Hummingbird ready for both stage and studio. Also included is a premium gigbag to safely store and comfortably carry the Hummingbird Standard EC to your next jam, rehearsal or gig.
