The MP11SE model features the Grand Feel action with wooden keys, which—thanks to Kawai's 90 years of piano-building expertise—delivers an exceptionally realistic playing experience. All eighty-eight black and white keys are crafted entirely from long wooden parts and finished with the ivory-like IvoryTouch surface, which absorbs moisture and provides players with a grippy surface for enhanced security and excellent playing control. Each key moves smoothly on a balance rail—the same mechanism used in a grand piano. The key length of the new Grand Feel keyboard (from the front edge to the balance rail pin) is longer than any other digital piano keyboard. When a key is struck, a weighted hammer moves upward just like the original, while additional weights in the bass keys’ front section make pianissimo playing easier. Additionally, the Grand Feel keyboard is equipped with triple sensors per key and touch point simulation, ensuring perfect control during pianissimo playing.

The MP11SE reproduces the superb sound of the Kawai concert grands SK-EX, SK-5, and EX. All 88 keys of these three extraordinary grand piano models were meticulously recorded and analyzed. The unique character of each individual note and the wide dynamic range of the sounds allow pianists to express their emotional playing—from soft pianissimo to powerful fortissimo. With the integrated Virtual Technician function, you can easily alter the tonal character of these acoustic piano sounds. For example, you can adjust the intensity of string and damper resonance or the sound of the returning hammers. Such personal settings can then be enhanced with a reverb effect that adds additional spatial depth to the sound.

The SUB section of the MP11SE provides high-quality strings, pads, basses, and other useful sounds ideal for splits and zones, layering with pianos or electric pianos, or for individual playing. Additionally, you can equip these sounds with bell, air, and voice layers, as well as shape them using flexible ADSR parameters and resonance/cut-off controls.

MIDI OUT Section: Four-Zone Master Keyboard Controller

Of course, the MP11SE includes master keyboard functions. With the MIDI section, you can control external MIDI devices or use the MP11SE as a master in the studio. Use the freely assignable knobs to send MIDI controllers or the transport buttons of the recorder as MMC remote for your DAW system. Simple operation makes studio life easier. Additionally, the MP11SE offers an adjustable LINE-IN for connecting another keyboard, expander, audio player, or computer line-out, making an extra mixer unnecessary.

USB to Device Functionality with MP3/WAV/SMF Recording and Playback

The MP11SE’s USB ports not only allow connection to a computer but also enable direct loading or saving of data to a USB storage device. This lets you permanently save your own sound or setup settings and provides protection in many live situations. USB storage can also be used to play MP3, WAV, or SMF files directly. The A-B loop function makes practicing specific parts of a song very easy. The USB storage can also be used for direct recording in MP3 or WAV format, with the LINE-IN also recorded. This way, you can quickly and easily send audio files by email to your bandmates, listen on your MP3 player, or copy to a computer for further processing, such as burning an audio CD.

The Piano Bench

The extra-wide seat with its 5 cm thick foam padding is perfect for long playing sessions and remains comfortable even after hours. The elegant, easy-care, and durable synthetic leather cover not only looks great but can also be easily cleaned after a sweaty performance.

The intelligent leg construction is the real highlight of the deluxe keyboard bench. The bench height is adjusted via a sturdy pin system and four notches on the underside of the seat and fixed with a large clamp on the X-shaped legs. To ensure stable footing, the pins can be secured with small locking screws. For easy transport, the legs can be detached from the seat and folded compactly.

The Keyboard Stand

This sturdy and versatile stand can be used as both a keyboard and mixer stand. The support surface extends in width from 73 to 110 cm. The stable legs can be individually adjusted in height.
