The DIGITECH Badder Monkey is the focused evolution of a true overdrive classic. Instead of a simple reissue, the legendary Bad Monkey circuit design was thoughtfully expanded and technically refined. You get the original overdrive character, including the gain and EQ frequencies, plus two additional overdrive circuits named "Behaved" and "Badder." That gives the pedal an unusually wide sonic range — from subtle crunch tones to thick, punchy rock riffs.

Three Circuits, Maximum Flexibility

The heart of the Badder Monkey is the patent-pending 360° barrel control. It lets you blend any two of the three overdrive paths continuously, creating dynamic, nuanced overdrive combinations that adapt perfectly to your playing and your rig. The toggle switch lets you run the "Bad" circuit phase-shifted or in parallel, opening up further tonal possibilities.

Troop Mode for Uncompromising Tone

Set the mini switch to the middle position to activate Troop Mode. Here all three overdrive circuits work together to deliver an especially dense, powerful sound. In this mode the barrel control is intentionally disabled to ensure a clearly defined, cutting character — ideal for punchy leads and fat rhythm guitars.

Precise Control and Practical Design

With Bananas (Gain), Curiosity (Volume) and the Mood 2-band EQ you always have full command of your tone. Grunt handles the low-EQ range while Screech fine-tunes the highs. True bypass ensures your core tone stays uncolored. The lightweight aluminum housing is roadworthy and durable, while the two-sided StagePlate provides secure mounting without an additional hook-and-loop fastener.
