Professionally Restored!
We have our used Yamaha pianos professionally restored in the Far East. The instruments are almost completely disassembled and defective parts are replaced. Key action felts and leather are renewed, the tuning pins and pin block are inspected and adjusted, the hammer felts are reshaped, needled and re-voiced, and the damper pads are refurbished.
After that, all keys and brass parts are cleaned and polished. The finish is retouched or renewed where necessary and then polished to a high gloss.
The instruments are shipped to us by container so that, before delivery to you, our piano builder can make final adjustments and tune them. This way you receive a characterful piano in impeccable condition that will completely convince you with its brilliance, fullness of sound and appearance.
What Our Customers Say About the Used Yamaha Pianos in Our Range...
"The U1 from Yamaha is a very well-known piano that has played an important role in the music world for decades thanks to its excellent sound and attractive appearance. The question is, does that also apply to a used U1 instrument?
Our music school FIT IN music in Hildesheim has now received its second used U1 from Musikhaus Kirstein. Both pianos were expertly refurbished and tuned and arrived in such good cosmetic condition that you would never guess they are older instruments. Big compliments to the Musikhaus Kirstein team for the excellent restoration! Our teachers are very satisfied with the sound of both pianos and that satisfaction transfers to the students, young and old alike. From our side an absolute purchase recommendation! We will order the next Yamaha U1 here again!"
Customer Fit in Music from Hildesheim
"After my 107-year-old 2-meter grand served me faithfully for almost 20 years, I wanted a space-saving, somewhat less sonically dominant upright instrument. My thought that a particularly high-quality digital piano might be an alternative turned out to be a mistake, which could be easily reversed thanks to the very customer-oriented approach of Musikhaus Kirstein! I then decided on a Yamaha U3. I must admit I was uneasy about ordering a used acoustic piano without having seen, played and heard it beforehand. All the more delighted I was when the carrier delivered the eagerly awaited instrument after only a short wait: The piano is cosmetically and technically flawless, the action and touch extremely precise, the sound and intonation very balanced and pleasant! That's how a piano should be!"
