Professional AI Guitar Rig for Stage and Studio!
The IK Multimedia TONEX Board combines powerful AI amp modeling with extensive multi-effects, routing, and connectivity options for guitar and bass. The TONEX AI Machine Modeling technology supports all compatible TONEX AI Tone Models and lets you run up to four Tone Models simultaneously within a preset. You also get over 70 high-quality effects, up to 12 freely assignable effect slots, comprehensive stereo and parallel routing, and a high-resolution 5" color touchscreen. This compact floorboard therefore works equally well as a complete guitar rig, bass rig, multi-effects unit, amp modeler, and central hub for professional live, studio, and home-recording setups.
Up to Four TONEX Tone Models Simultaneously
Within a preset you can use up to four Tone Models at once, with each signal path able to combine one amp and one stomp model. ToneNET provides access to more than 60,000 Tone Models and presets. The TONEX Board also ships with 2,000 premium Tone Models and over 230 performance-ready factory presets for guitar and bass. You can import your own TONEX presets as well, making it easy to transfer existing sound libraries into the hardware rig.
Over 70 Effects and Flexible Effect Chains
For tone shaping you get over 70 built-in effects from AmpliTube plus specially developed signal processors. Up to 12 effect slots can be freely assigned within the signal paths. Splitters and mixers enable complex parallel routings, stereo configurations, and custom dual-path setups. The TONEX Board also supports custom impulse responses via the Custom IR Loader and IK Multimedia's VIR Cabinet technology for flexible speaker and cabinet simulations.
Intuitive Control with a 5" Color Touchscreen
The high-resolution 5" color touchscreen gives direct access to presets, effects, routing, and key tone parameters. Five encoders let you make quick adjustments during sound design. For live use the board offers Preset Mode, Scene Mode, and Stomp Mode. That lets you recall complete sounds, switch multiple settings at once, or control individual effects like a traditional pedalboard. Four footswitches with LED indicators provide direct on-stage control.
MIDI and External Control
MIDI In and MIDI Out via 5-pin DIN connectors allow integration into complex MIDI rigs. Two additional control inputs support expression pedals or external footswitches. A 3.5 mm headphone output enables direct monitoring. USB-C connects the unit to a computer and software for data transfer, preset management, and firmware updates.
High-Quality Audio Conversion
The internal converters operate at 24-bit / 192 kHz and offer a frequency response from 5 Hz to 24 kHz. The dynamic range reaches up to 123 dB. This lets the TONEX Board process guitar and bass signals with high detail and a wide dynamic range. The architecture is optimized for very low latency, providing a direct and natural playing feel.
4-In/2-Out USB Audio Interface
The TONEX Board supports a class-compliant 4-in/2-out USB audio interface with flexible routing and direct monitoring. This lets you integrate the floorboard directly into recording and home-studio setups and use it as a central interface for guitar and bass recordings.
1,440 Presets for Extensive Live Setups
The TONEX Board provides storage for up to 1,440 presets. These can be organized into 12 setlists with a total of 60 banks. That makes it easy to prepare and recall sounds for different bands, songs, instruments, or live sets. The combination of extensive memory and Preset, Scene, and Stomp modes makes the floorboard especially flexible for changing live and studio needs.
Flexible Inputs and Outputs for Any Rig
The TONEX Board supports mono, stereo, and two independent input signals. Two separate stereo output pairs enable different routings to a mixing console, audio interface, FRFR system, or guitar amplifier. The main outputs are available via XLR, while an additional balanced output pair is provided via 6.3 mm stereo jack. The stereo FX loop can be positioned flexibly within the signal chain and used alternatively as two independent mono loops. The four-cable method for integrating with a guitar amplifier is also supported.
Comprehensive Software and Sound Package
The software package includes TONEX Modeler, TONEX Software, and the TONEX Board Editor. AmpliTube 5 MAX with more than 400 virtual gear models is also included. This allows you to prepare and organize sounds on your computer in detail and then transfer them to the TONEX Board. Compatibility with existing TONEX presets and access to ToneNET link software, hardware, recording, and live operation into a seamless workflow.
