Singing
The VE-8 delivers a great vocal sound in no time. Just plug your microphone into the XLR input, choose a reverb, and use the Enhance function to make the voice shine. If desired, you can also select an electronic voice, distortion, or transistor radio effect to surprise your audience.
Playing
Through the dedicated guitar input the VE-8 does a lot for your acoustic guitar as well: "Acoustic Resonance" produces a natural-sounding acoustic tone that doesn't give away its "quacky" piezo pickup origin. Reverb and chorus are on board, along with cool BOSS effects like "Octave", "Mod Delay" and more. The essential tuner is included. Use the phase invert and the notch filter to prevent feedback.
Harmony
Nothing is more impressive than a solo musician who suddenly sings with a completely natural-sounding choir during the chorus. To that end the VE-8 includes a newly simplified harmony function. It analyzes the chords you play on the guitar and the underlying key, then generates the harmony parts from that information. Several hybrid and fixed harmony modes are available so you can get the exact effect you want for each song. A vocal doubler that fattens the vocal for more presence is also on board.
Looper
The looper designed specifically for the VE-8 not only sounds outstanding but also provides powerful assistance. With a footswitch you can layer a rhythm, a chord sequence, harmony parts and additional layers into a great arrangement. Using the front-panel controls or an optional footswitch you can even choose whether the looper records only the guitar, only the vocals, or both.
Connectivity
On the rear panel the VE-8 offers a guitar input, an XLR mic input with switchable phantom power, and an AUX input for a smartphone or other source. The balanced XLR outputs (stereo) let you connect to the PA, while the 6.3 mm outputs (also stereo) can feed monitors or an acoustic amp. The vocal and guitar channels include a 3-band EQ and a low-cut (rumble) filter for professional tone-shaping and can be routed out separately if required. The USB port lets you use the VE-8 as an audio interface for your DAW.
Control
The VE-8's many controls let you make quick adjustments to your sound even during a performance. Settings you use frequently can be saved to one of 50 memories and recalled at any time. The VE-8 features three built-in footswitches to control numerous live functions and a jack for an optional footswitch if you want to operate additional features by foot.

If you know the VE-20, you can intuitively operate the VE-8 without a manual :-)
There is a manageable manual included.
The only thing I haven't found yet is with which parameters the 50 memory locations are preconfigured ?!?
Would buy it again in any case.
