The Rode Wireless ME is an ultra-compact, straightforward, and versatile microphone wireless system that’s ready to go right out of the box. Wireless ME is ideal for filmmakers, YouTubers, and other content creators. Both transmitter and receiver modules measure just 4 x 4 cm, with a wireless range of 100 m, and built-in batteries allow up to 7 hours of continuous use.
The clever part: not only the transmitter but also the receiver has a built-in microphone. This lets the filmmaker record interview questions, directing cues, or comments off-camera if needed. The built-in miniature condenser microphones deliver crystal-clear sound.
Automatic Level Adjustment with Rode GainAssist
The transmitter also uses Rode’s GainAssist technology, which automatically adjusts the internal preamp to the sound source. This frees you up to focus on other things—distorted, too quiet, or noisy recordings are a thing of the past with the Wireless ME. If desired, you can also connect an external lavalier mic like the Lavalier GO or Lavalier II to the transmitter.
All Necessary Cables Included
Besides the analog 3.5 mm TRS output, the receiver also offers a USB-C port to output audio digitally to a computer or smart/iPhone. All required cables are included: 3.5 mm TRS to TRS (for DSLR cameras), 3.5 mm TRS to TRRS cable (for smartphones, analog), USB-C to USB-C cable (for PC and smartphones, digital), and USB-C to Lightning (for iPhone, digital).
Level and configuration settings can be adjusted via the free "RØDE Central" software. Additionally, Wireless ME is compatible with the recording/streaming software "RØDE Connect" and the apps "RØDE Reporter" (Android and iOS) and "RØDE Capture" (iOS), all available for free download.
The Wireless ME package also includes two furry windshields for outdoor recording and a premium neoprene carrying case. The modules are manufactured at RØDE’s precision facility in Sydney, Australia.
