Genelec 8040B - Active Studio Monitors for Mixing and Mastering!
The Genelec 8040 is a studio monitor designed for music production, post-production, and broadcast. It allows fatigue-free monitoring and objective mixing with clearly defined bass reproduction.
The speaker features a die-cast aluminum enclosure, making it low-resonance and stable. The drivers are protected by grilles. Rounded enclosure edges and the waveguide ensure optimal spatial imaging and a wide listening area. The bass reflex design delivers precise, deep bass response down to 41 Hz.
The Genelec 8040 offers high headroom. With two low-distortion 90-watt amplifiers, it reaches a sound pressure level of 105 dB. It is therefore suitable for medium-sized rooms up to approx. 30 m². Switchable filters allow adaptation to the placement.
Threaded holes and matching accessories simplify wall or ceiling mounting. The Genelec 8040 features an automatic power on/off function that can be disabled if needed.
