The SSL UF8 is a professional DAW controller featuring a unique and innovative mix of features. Up to four units can be cascaded via USB and used as a 19" rack unit or desktop controller.

UF8 offers precise navigation with a multifunction master encoder for DAW timeline access, track banking, and mouse wheel emulation. Dual-assigned buttons allow quick recall of selected functions as well as solo and mute in Pro Tools and Logic Pro. New CHANNEL and PLUG-IN control functions provide improved workflows for those using UF8 with Pro Tools, offering easy access to sends and plug-ins without slowing creativity.

Each UF8 is equipped with 43 freely assignable keys spread over 5 configurable banks, allowing users to configure their most important shortcuts and macros for extensive DAW session control. Up to four UF8 units can be connected via the THRU port to form a 32-channel controller, ideal for large post-production or mixing sessions.

UF8 integrates with all major DAWs and includes pre-made templates for Ableton Live, Cubase/Nuendo, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Studio One, LUNA, and Pyramix. Many producers and engineers prefer to split their creative process across multiple DAWs. UF8 is uniquely flexible and supports SSL's "Open DAW Policy" – control 3 different DAWs simultaneously and keep your production and mixdown process flexible.

SSL 360° is the central software application and the heart of UF8. It is a cross-platform app for Mac and Windows. With SSL 360°, you can configure your UF8 for your DAW, customize user keys, save and load profiles, with all changes saved automatically. Additionally, SSL 360° manages software and firmware updates for you.

For perfect setup, each UF8 comes with adjustable feet offering six different tilt angles for personalized positioning. To jump straight into the creative production process, software licenses for the SSL Native plug-ins Vocalstrip 2 and Drumstrip are also included.

Plus, you save time and build muscle memory with every move.

The hardware eye-catcher is undoubtedly the authentic "Moving Coil" VU meter display for the gain reduction of the Bus Compressor 2 plug-in. This keeps the most important dynamic parameter always in view. Additionally, numerous LEDs provide an overview of levels, knob positions, and switch states – just like a real mixing console. Speaking of mixers – the SSL 360° plug-in mixer is also available. In this plug-in mixer, you can see and control all your 360°-compatible plug-ins like channel strips, bus compressors, and more in one place. The 360° plug-in mixer offers an efficient way to interact with multiple plug-ins simultaneously, bridging the gap between console and in-the-box workflows.

Alongside numerous perpetual SSL licenses and a 6-month trial of "SSL Complete" (for all SSL plug-ins), the free 360° software from V1.7 offers a groundbreaking, eagerly awaited feature: control of 3rd party plug-ins with the UC1. The software component that enables this is the "SSL 360 Link Plug-In."
