The UF1 is the ultimate single-fader controller that optimizes your in-the-box productions with the legendary SSL workflow and premium controls – a motorized 100-mm fader, two high-resolution color displays, durable RGB rubber buttons with a soft feel, and a weighted jog wheel, all housed in a robust metal chassis with a premium look.

With the UF1, you have full control over pans, sends, plug-in control, can customize 46 soft keys to fit your workflow, and control up to three DAWs simultaneously. Clear and insightful visual feedback, intuitive control, and deep integration are achieved not least through the included SSL Meter plug-in and SSL 360° software. All this elevates the UF1 and the SSL eco-system to a level never before seen in this size.

Precise Control for Optimal DAW Work

The UF1 features DAW profiles for Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Studio One, Ableton Live, LUNA, and Pyramix. High-quality transport buttons and a weighted jog/scrub wheel make working pleasant, fast, and efficient. Secondary transport buttons can be assigned to important workflow key combinations, e.g., Loop On/Off and Click on Track On/Off. Or press the shift key for quick access to DAW automation modes. The motorized premium 100-mm SSL fader offers precise control when writing automation and, of course, fine-tuning track volume during recording and mixing sessions.

Direct SSL Plug-In Control!

The UF1’s two high-resolution displays provide detailed visual feedback on DAW track names, parameters, time display, the SSL Meter plug-in, and 360°-capable channel strips in the SSL plug-in mixer. Control SSL channel strip plug-ins directly from the UF1. The plug-in’s EQ curve is shown on the large display and gate/compression activity on the smaller display. The large, stepped encoder enables channel banking, mouse wheel emulation (focus mode), and volume control.

In addition to extensive DAW control, every UF1 purchase includes a perpetual license for the SSL Meter plug-in. The meter plug-in is visualized on the large 4.3-inch display and controlled directly from the UF1 surface or the SSL 360° plug-in mixer. The meter plug-in includes essential metering tools such as peak and RMS levels, K-System, stereo balance, phase correlation bar, Lissajous phase scope, 31-band RTA, VU, and PPM metering.

Solo or Team Up with UF8 and UC1

The UF1 can be used alone or combined with the UF8 to enable even deeper SSL DAW control. UF1 is also the perfect hardware extension for the UC1 SSL plug-in controller, giving you fader control and easy access to SSL 360°-capable channel strip parameters plus visual feedback of EQ curves. For the ultimate SSL controller setup offering a complete SSL workflow for virtual consoles, combine the UF1 with up to four UF8 units and the UC1.

Plus, you save time and build muscle memory with every move.

The hardware eye-catcher is undoubtedly the authentic "Moving Coil" VU meter display for the gain reduction of the Bus Compressor 2 plug-in. This keeps the most important dynamic parameter always in view. Additionally, numerous LEDs provide an overview of levels, knob positions, and switch states – just like a real mixing console. Speaking of mixing consoles – you also get the SSL 360° plug-in mixer. In this plug-in mixer, you can see and control all your 360°-capable plug-ins like channel strips, bus compressors, and more in one place. The 360° plug-in mixer offers an efficient way to interact with multiple plug-ins simultaneously, closing the gap between console and in-the-box workflows.

Besides numerous perpetual SSL licenses and a 6-month trial of "SSL Complete" (for all SSL plug-ins), the free 360° software from V1.7 offers a groundbreaking, eagerly awaited feature: control of 3rd-party plug-ins with the UC1. The software component that enables this is the "SSL 360 Link Plug-In." This allows your favorite plug-ins to be easily mapped to the UC1’s knobs and controls and also displayed in the 360° plug-in mixer. Features like "Drag & Drop" and "Click & Turn" make this customization a breeze. Pre-made mappings for plug-ins from Waves, Universal Audio, and others are also included in the update.
