The Rode X Streamer X is a professional video capture card and high-end audio interface combined into one device—plus many practical controls like knobs, buttons, switches, and the brilliant SMART Pads for triggering sounds, voice FX, and keyboard shortcuts, etc.

The 15 cm wide and 380 g lightweight Streamer X offers up to 4K/30 recording, 4K/60 passthrough, and supports VRR (Variable Refresh Rate). Two independent USB-C ports allow a true dual-PC setup. The built-in audio interface has inputs for a microphone (XLR) or an electric guitar (6.35 mm TS) as well as for a headset (3.5 mm TRRS, CTIA wiring).

Also integrated is a wireless receiver: you can directly stream from a Rode Wireless II or Wireless ME transmitter into the Streamer X.

Premium Preamp with Optional Phantom Power

The ultra-low noise and very powerful preamp (up to 76 dB) delivers a crystal-clear audio signal—even with insensitive dynamic vocal microphones. For condenser microphones, 48-volt phantom power can be switched on.

Thanks to the built-in DSP, the microphone signal can be enhanced with a high-pass filter, noise gate, compressor, and Aphex, provided you use the free streaming software UNIFY or RØDE Connect. On the back of the device, there is a 6.3 mm TRS jack for connecting stereo headphones.

Switching Knobs, Mute Pads & Smart Pads

The Streamer X features two large hardware switching knobs, two MUTE pads, and four programmable SMART Pads with bank switch buttons. The left switching knob controls the gain (knob) and the desired audio source (push button). The right switching knob controls headphone volume (knob) and can mute the headphones (push button).

The two MUTE pads below the knobs allow general on/off switching of the audio source (left pad) and video source (right pad).

2 GB Internal Storage

The SMART Pads are used to trigger sounds, voice FX, keyboard shortcuts, and other commands; the two bank switch buttons below allow access to four additional commands. The SMART Pads can be assigned audio files (WAV, MP3, etc.), with the Streamer X providing 2 GB of internal storage—ample space for jingles, sound effects, and full music tracks.

3/8" Thread for Tripod Mounting

To allow mounting on a tripod or microphone arm when needed, a 3/8" thread is embedded in the base. Included in the package are a USB power supply, a power cable with IEC connector, and a certified Hi-Speed USB cable (2 m).
