Zoom F2-BT - 32 Bit Float Technology in Zoom's Smallest & Lightest Recorder Ever!

Zoom's smallest and lightest recorder with 32-bit float technology. The 32-bit float technology, introduced with Zoom's award-winning F6 Field Recorder, allows recording of the loudest audio signals without any distortion and without the need for gain setting or level adjustment during recording.

The F2 records directly to Micro-SD and SDHC cards up to 512 GB, and the operating time with 2 AAA batteries is up to 15 hours. For easier setting adjustments, you can connect the F2 to a PC or Mac via USB-C and use our F2 Editor to tweak settings, format SD cards, and much more. The USB port also makes it easy to transfer files to your computer for editing with the included audio software.

The highly precise internal clock (±0.5ppm) avoids any issues with audio and video synchronization, and for use on professional sets, you can choose the F2-BT version, which enables wireless timecode synchronization via Bluetooth®. The built-in Bluetooth® also allows connection to the F2 Control App to control settings and remotely operate transport functions (F2-BT model only). The F2 is perfect for recording interviews anywhere and is the ideal audio solution for creatives on the go.

The F2-BT comes with built-in Bluetooth® functionality. Using the free Zoom F2 Control app, the F2-BT can be controlled wirelessly: you can start/stop recordings, display battery status, adjust output volume and high-pass filter, and much more. You can also pair the F2-BT with a Bluetooth®-enabled device for timecode synchronization to receive timecode and embed it into your recording files.

The F2 Editor

Import your video file and automatically extract audio tracks with WaveLab Cast. Use the editing tools to suppress unwanted background noise, adjust levels, and remove sibilance. With metering options, you can create new tracks, fade in your music, and apply EQ and compression. Use WaveLab Cast’s export functions to recombine audio and video.
