Powerful Sound in a Slim Design!

When it comes to PA, solo artists and small acoustic combos count on easy transport, fast setup, convincing sound and a discreet look. McGrey's slim column system combines all of these advantages in a compact, sonically powerful package.

Set Up in Seconds

The E-208LA consists of four components: the subwoofer, two spacers and a full-range line-array speaker. These four parts simply plug together, with the signal for the tweeter routed through the spacer sections. The entire setup takes less than a minute!

For One or More

The column system offers an XLR and a jack input, each of which allows the input sensitivity to be set via a Mic/Line switch. This gives you the option to run a dynamic microphone and an instrument directly or to combine several signals via a mixer and feed them to the E-208LA.

Flexible Plug System

The E-208LA can be operated without spacers, with one spacer or with both spacer sections. Whether you're on a raised stage or at the same level as seated or standing audiences, the E-208LA adapts perfectly to the local conditions.

Rich Sound

With an effective power of 100 Watt (200 Watt peak), the 8" subwoofer and the four full-range speakers deliver an absolutely clear and powerful sound experience, producing strong bass, high speech intelligibility and a balanced sonic image. Thanks to the extremely wide dispersion angle, listeners positioned to the side of the speaker also fully benefit. Because the drivers are arranged vertically, volume falls off much less with distance than with conventional systems, resulting in a very homogeneous sound distribution throughout the room.

The small full-range drivers can react very quickly to incoming signals because of their low mass, which leads to significantly less coloration and harmonic distortion of the original sound compared with typical multi-way boxes. Likewise, in the critical frequency range for many instruments—and especially for singing and speaking voices—there is no frequency crossover that would inevitably cause further colorations and often irregularities in dispersion. As a result, the overall sound is much more natural and pleasant than that of common multi-way speakers, which is particularly noticeable with voices and acoustic instruments.

Integrated Media Player with Bluetooth

The control panel of the system is located on the back of the subwoofer and houses a full media player. It doesn't matter whether music files are stored on USB or SD. Of course, any conventional playback device (e.g. smartphone or laptop) can also be connected via the aux input. For wireless streaming, the E-208LA also features a Bluetooth receiver. If you pair the system via Bluetooth with a second optional E-208LA, you even get wireless True Wireless stereo sound.

Easily Expandable

Whether you connect a microphone directly to the PA or the signal comes from a mixer—use the Line Out to feed additional column systems. Depending on the size of the event, this ensures even more uniform sound distribution.

Skip the Monitoring

Because the E-208LA is extremely feedback-resistant, it can easily be positioned behind the performers. That saves additional monitor speakers and therefore space, time, money and weight. And it also looks much better.
