Powerful Stereo Sound in a Slim Design!

For solo artists and small acoustic combos, a PA system needs to offer easy transport, quick setup, convincing sound, and discreet looks. McGrey’s slim column system combines all these advantages into a compact and sonically powerful package.

Set Up in Seconds

The E-208LA consists of four components: subwoofer, 2 distance pieces, and a full-range line array speaker. These four parts simply slot together, with the signal for the tweeter passed through the distance pieces. The entire setup takes less than a minute!

For One or More

The column system offers an XLR and a jack input socket, where input sensitivity can be set via a mic/line switch. This allows you to operate a dynamic microphone and an instrument directly or bundle multiple signals via a mixer and feed them to the E-208LA.

Wireless Stereo Sound

The stereo set packs a punch: pairing the two column speakers via Bluetooth® delivers true stereo sound from both towers! One speaker pairs and controls the signal from a mobile device while sending the left channel signal to the other box. Note that with an XLR cable connection via line out/line in, both speakers only output the mono summed signal.

Flexible Plug-In System

The E-208LA can be used without, with one, or with both distance pieces. Whether you’re on a raised stage, at the same height as seated, or standing audience, the E-208LA adapts perfectly to local conditions.

Rich Sound

With an effective power of 100 watts (200 watts peak), the subwoofer with its 8" speaker and the total of 4 full-range speakers deliver an absolutely clear and powerful sound experience, resulting in strong bass, high speech intelligibility, and a balanced tonal image. Thanks to the extremely wide dispersion angle, even the audience located to the sides of the speaker fully benefits. Due to the vertical arrangement of the speakers, volume decreases much less with distance than with conventional systems, resulting in very homogeneous sound distribution throughout the room.

The small full-range speakers can respond very quickly to the input signals due to their low mass, resulting in significantly less distortion and harmonic distortion of the original sound compared to typical multi-way speakers. Also, in the critical frequency range for many instruments and especially vocals and speech, no frequency separation occurs, which inevitably leads to further sound distortions and often irregularities in dispersion behavior. Thus, the overall sound is much more natural and pleasant than common multi-way speakers, which is especially noticeable with voices and all natural instruments.

Integrated Media Player with Bluetooth®

The control panel of the system is located on the back of the subwoofer and includes a full media player. It doesn’t matter whether music files are on USB or SD. Of course, any conventional playback device (e.g., smartphone or laptop) can also be connected via the aux input. For wireless streaming, the E-208LA also offers a Bluetooth® receiver. Connecting the system via Bluetooth® to a second optional E-208LA system even provides wireless true wireless stereo sound.

Expandable Anytime

Whether you connect a microphone directly to the PA or the signal comes from a mixer – with the line out you can pass your signal to additional column systems. Depending on the size of the event, this ensures even more even sound distribution.

Skip the Monitoring

Because the E-208LA is extremely feedback-resistant, it can easily be positioned behind the performers. This saves additional monitor speakers and thus space, time, money, and weight. And it looks much better, too.
