The active speakers of the Economy series are the perfect all-round speakers for semi-professional use. Besides the option to connect a microphone or a direct line signal, these active 2-way speakers can even play MP3 files from USB and SD as well as via Bluetooth®.
12" Speaker with 1.0" Compression Driver
The membranes housed in the sturdy plastic enclosure are powered by the built-in amplifier delivering 120 watts. By splitting the audio signal to the two speakers at 2.8 kHz, a clear, powerful sound with excellent presence is achieved.
Connection Options
Available is a mic input (XLR or 6.35 mm jack) for direct operation with dynamic microphones. The second channel is for wired use of, e.g., laptops and MP3 players via RCA or line signals from, e.g., mixing consoles (XLR). Both channels have separate volume controls and the summed signal can even be sent to another speaker via the MIX OUT output.
Media Player and Bluetooth® Receiver
A handy feature for occasional DJs and party hosts: the integrated media player plays music from USB sticks and SD cards, which can be controlled directly from the player and infrared remote control. The wireless option works via a Bluetooth® connection, allowing music to be streamed from smartphones and tablets to the speaker. Whether music is currently played from the media player or the aux input can be selected with the MP3/AUX button.
Equalizer and Speaker Flange
An easy-to-use 2-band equalizer quickly and effectively adjusts the speaker’s sound to the current environment. The zero positions of both controls have detents for easy return to the neutral setting. To mount the speaker on a conventional speaker stand, there is a 35 mm speaker flange with clamping screw on the bottom, which secures the speaker against accidental twisting.
