The console features 24 top-quality built-in mic preamps plus 8 stereo FX engines with dedicated returns and access to the pro-acclaimed RackExtra FX library. SQ is a natural choice for in-ear monitor setups, offering 12 stereo mixes (configurable as groups or auxes), while Automatic Mic Mixing is an excellent option for conferences, panel discussions, and more.

SQ is a future-proof next-gen console powered by Allen & Heath’s 96kHz XCVI FPGA engine. XCVI delivers premium audio quality in highest resolution, ultra-low latency of 0.7 ms, variable bit depth for ultimate precision and noise performance, blending coherence with the sample and power for high channel/mix counts and plenty of FX processing.

DEEP Processing Ready

The SQ’s DEEP processing architecture lets users select boutique compressor and preamp emulations tailored to their style and needs. DEEP plugins can be embedded directly into the mixer inputs and mix channels without system latency or installation issues.

Expandable Up to 48 Microphones!

The SQ-6 has all onboard I/O needed for standalone operation. Thanks to the smart SLink port, the SQ-6 can also be expanded via a wide range of 96 kHz and 48 kHz rack and stagebox expanders (e.g. AB168, AR2412, AR84, and DX168) up to 48 mic inputs. This creates a mix 'n' match solution for owners of other Allen & Heath digital systems. You can also link your SQ directly with another SQ or even a dLive system.

Dante, Waves, and More

The SQ is the heart of a growing system of apps, expanders, audio networks, personal mixers, and more, allowing you to connect, customize, and expand at will. The console is also compatible with leading audio network standards—add an audio network card like Dante or Waves to the SQ’s I/O port and you can install integrated systems, provide a digital FoH/monitor split, and much more.

Flexible Multitrack Recording

With the built-in SQ Drive, you can quickly and easily record a 96 kHz multitrack or stereo show directly to a USB stick or USB drive. No software setup, sound card drivers, or additional laptop required. SQ Drive is also a clever way to manage break music or playback. Additionally, an integrated 32 x 32 96 kHz audio interface is available for multitrack recording, backing tracks, or virtual soundcheck applications. The interface is Core Audio and ASIO compliant and features MIDI and DAW control functions.

Advanced AMM

The advanced features of SQ’s Automatic Mic Mixer (AMM) make it a top choice for mixing conferences, panel discussions, and broadcasts. It is fully integrated into the mixer with no added latency, so you don’t have to route audio to an internal DSP rack or external plug-in system.

The Mixing Experience

With every new design, the Allen & Heath team strives to get closer to the ultimate mixing experience. The SQ dashboard is arranged around a high-resolution 7" capacitive touchscreen, framed by a set of grippy, illuminated encoders to create an intuitive, integrated blend of clear visual feedback and direct hands-on control. Channels and mixes can be drag-and-dropped onto any strip, with custom naming and color coding on the strip displays, so you can create a mixing environment that reflects your own workflow. Each strip features our patented Chromatic channel metering system, which uses variable brightness and color LEDs to show you at a glance. The SQ-6 also offers 16 softkeys and 4 soft rotaries with displays assignable to desired functions, plus a “channel to all” mix button for instant access to all sends of the selected channel.

Custom-Fit Hood Case

Gäng Case’s PerformanceLine hood case is not riveted like conventional cases; instead, all profiles are fully glued with only 6.5 mm thick panels. The adhesive used easily withstands extreme temperature changes, mechanical stress, and weather influences. Using the special adhesive from automotive construction, the PerforLine cases not only stand out visually from other cases but are also significantly more stable and much lighter. Furthermore, all interior parts made of wood (such as cable compartment stops) are protected with an almost indestructible black PU coating.
