The Rode XDM-100 is the ultimate sound solution for podcasters, streamers, and gamers. The 22 cm long microphone weighs a hefty 700 g with its full metal housing. As a dynamic microphone, it is insensitive to ambient noise—ideal when disturbances from adjacent rooms or outside are an issue. For close-up speech, you can attach the included foam pop filter.

For Professional-Level Vocal Sound

Built into the microphone is a DSP chip that, in combination with Rode’s free recording/streaming software UNIFY, allows you to process the signal with a high-pass filter, equalizer, noise gate, compressor, as well as the legendary Aphex Exciter and Big Bottom. The result: a convincing professional vocal sound, like what you hear on radio stations or commercials. (When using UNIFY, up to four XDM-100 microphones can be operated simultaneously on one computer if needed.)

The XDM-100 features Rode’s Revolution preamp, which boosts even quiet voices to a rich, completely noise-free level. The large-diaphragm capsule has a cardioid pattern, with a 90° pickup angle to the front—sound from the sides and rear is significantly dampened.

On the front of the microphone body is a 3.5 mm TRS jack for connecting headphones; the rotary control above it adjusts headphone volume and also serves as a mute switch for the microphone. The USB-C port is recessed in the base of the XDM-100.

Full Feature Set with UNIFY Software

The full feature set is unlocked when using the free recording/streaming software UNIFY. It offers a virtual 10-channel mixer with faders, solo and mute buttons on each channel. Additionally, there are high-pass filters, compressor, noise gate, Aphex signal processing, eight freely assignable trigger pads with eight banks each, and native multitrack recording.

Editing and exporting are also possible, with high-resolution WAV recordings, optional export as MP3 files at 128, 192, 256, or 320 kbps, and direct access to system settings from within UNIFY.

The package includes the Rode shock mount PSM1, a 3 m USB-C to USB-C cable, and a high-quality 3 m 3.5 mm TRS headphone extension cable.

Comfortable Stereo Headphones

The KH-238 delivers a full, balanced sound with rich bass and clear highs. It offers plenty of volume while maintaining clean and precise stereo imaging. The softly padded, wide headband is length-adjustable with 12 steps per side for an optimal fit. For extra comfort, the ear cups are mounted on two-axis pivots. The thick, soft padding of the circumaural cups also provides good external noise isolation. The integrated volume control on the cable is always within reach, simplifying use with a PC or mp3 player. The 3.5 mm stereo jack offers excellent transmission quality, and a 6.3 mm stereo adapter is also included.

Microphone Arm

Made entirely of metal, the McGrey microphone arm offers stable handling at a reasonable price. The arm fits into the robust desk clamp and can be secured against twisting. The foam rubber insert on the clamp protects the desk surface from unsightly scratches. Four springs reliably hold your microphone in place while allowing individual adjustments. This ensures consistent vocal quality while giving you full flexibility in microphone positioning. The 3/8" thread fits all standard microphone clips and shock mounts; a reducing thread and a mic clip are included for immediate use.
