With its robust full-metal housing and especially durable grille cap, the AKG D40 is ideal for the rigors of live use. The patented AKG Varimotion diaphragm technology lets you fine-tune the microphone without additional tuning resonators.
As a versatile instrument microphone, the AKG D40 ships with an integrated stand connector and a mounting adapter for snare, tom-toms and more. That makes the D40 easy to deploy on any instrument. Its compact size also allows the AKG D40 to be used very unobtrusively.
The transducer capsule handles extremely high sound pressure with ease. The cardioid polar pattern guarantees feedback resistance even on the smallest stages and delivers the typical, punchy AKG sound.
