Eurolite DMX Commander 512 - Modern Theater Light for 512 DMX Channels, Separate Dimmer Faders for Scenes & Chases!

The DMX Commander 512 enables control of up to 16 fixtures with up to 32 DMX channels each. A fixture can be, for example, a moving head, or 32 individual fixtures each with one dimmer, or 8 fixtures with RGBW color mixing. A theater with 48 classic fixtures, 16 RGBW fixtures, and 4 moving heads can be easily controlled, with the console only half utilized.

Functionality

Moving heads and other modern fixtures offer numerous functions that cannot be controlled via dimmer channels. The DMX Commander 512 therefore separates dimmer and function channels. This allows the brightness of a scene to be reduced without changing the function channels. Additionally, all function channels can be set correctly before increasing brightness.

Flexibility

A total of 57 memory slots are available for programming, of which 54 can be accessed on 9 faders over 6 pages. Three memory slots with page-independent faders can be called up anytime and are suitable for frequently used settings like audience light, front light, or a hazer.

Each memory slot can contain a single scene or an entire sequence of a piece. The sequence can be triggered manually with the Go button or automated, with speed saved, adjustable via a speed control, tapped via the Tap button, or music-controlled. This sequence control is individually adjustable for each memory slot, including fade time.

Clarity

A clear overview is essential for a console with so many faders. Fixtures can be created and patched to sort channels clearly. Additionally, all functions can be labeled and displayed via the buttons above the control faders. The various memories can also be named. The DMX Commander 512 comes with neutral white fader caps but also includes 8 caps each in 7 other colors to create a custom color scheme for manual input and memory faders.

Connections

The DMX Commander 512 is designed for installation in a 19" rack. The rear panel features connectors for 3-pin or 5-pin DMX signals as well as a 6.3 mm jack for audio input. Power is supplied via a P-Con connector. The top panel has two USB ports, one for the included USB stick and one as a power source, for example, for a console light.
