M-Live Media Player B.Beat - Let It Beat!

B.BEAT reads and plays music files in WAV format, multitrack audio, stems, MIDI, video MP4, MOV and JPG. You can use backing tracks from MP3 files up to full multitrack audio projects from DAWs with up to 16 mono or 8 stereo tracks. B.BEAT can store a large number of backing tracks. The backing tracks can be synchronized with a video (or images) that is sent to the video wall via the HDMI output. It features a mixer for adjusting the various audio tracks, the 6 separate outputs and the channels that feed the headphones, e.g. the click.

Integrated Digital Mixer

Integrated Digital Mixer

B.BEAT features a digital mixer to control 6 separate outputs, two inputs, a headphone output for the click, the mixer return and the backing tracks. With four practical potentiometers the musician can balance in real time what they want to hear in the headphones during the performance. Via the 6 outputs the tracks that make up the backing tracks can be sent to the stage mixer. From any source a stereo or mono audio signal can be fed into the B.Beat via the two inputs. In addition, B.Beat detects the click track and can route it to any of the six available outputs and simultaneously to the headphone output.

B.Beat On Stage

B.Beat is engineered to ensure maximum reliability for LIVE performances. The control panel includes a dedicated [LIVE] button that can be pressed at the start of the show so the B.Beat processor runs at maximum performance from that point without wasting resources. This minimizes the risk of accidental crashes and prevents the user from unintentionally activating functions.

Organizing the Performance

Organizing the Performance

B.Beat manages individual backing tracks that can be organized into convenient playlists or into full shows with multiple scenes of different types. Projects can include music, videos and images, as well as MIDI tracks to send messages to the various devices used for the live performance. The philosophy behind B.Beat is to simplify managing backing tracks and videos during a show. With B.Beat there is no need to bring computers, tablets, audio and video cards, cables and mixers on stage: B.Beat solves the problem in just a few square centimeters and at a weight of 600 grams.

Preparing B.Beat for the Show

Create your backing tracks in your DAW, and once studio work is finished you can transfer the music to B.Beat. There is an app called B.Beat Manager that runs on Windows PC and Mac. With the Manager you assign the outputs to the various tracks and finalize the editing by setting the levels as desired. If you synchronized a video with the music, you can upload it to B.Beat and manage it together with the backing tracks, or you can manage videos and images independently of the music.

Using B.Beat with a USB Stick

Using B.Beat with a USB Stick

If you have MP3 backing tracks that you want to load onto B.Beat without using a PC, you can use a USB stick to transfer the files quickly to the internal storage or play them directly from the stick.

Metronome and Click

B.Beat has a dedicated session for the metronome. You can control a metronome easily and directly on stage. The metronome click can be output to one of the 6 outputs and at the same time routed to the drummer's headphones. The same applies to the click when it is recorded on the backing tracks. If the click track is present in the multitrack backing tracks it will be detected and sent to a separate output and to the headphones.
