The Roland DJ-505 is a 2-channel controller for Serato DJ with four decks that blends Serato DJ’s advanced performance features with the legendary sounds and sequencing of the Roland drum machines TR-808, TR-909, TR-606* and TR-707*. With the DJ-505 you push the limits of mixing, create beats and rhythms in no time, sync them with your Serato DJ tracks and produce unique transitions, live remixes, refreshed classic tracks or your own music.

Like the flagship DJ-808 and the compact DJ-202, the DJ-505 presents itself as a powerful, inspiring instrument that gives you unmatched flexibility as a DJ, remixer and producer while offering exciting new performance approaches for your music. Thanks to its slim design, the option to use the unit as a standalone mixer and the available Serato DVS upgrade, the DJ-505 is ideal as a controller for turntables or CD players.

The DJ-505 is a two-channel Serato DJ controller with four decks and a wide range of features, including the full Serato Tool Kit. With easy transport, professional build quality and an advanced feature set, the DJ-505 is perfect for mobile gigs, club DJs, live performances and studio production.

The integrated 24-bit / 48 kHz audio interface and Roland high-end audio converters on the master and booth outputs ensure faithful reproduction of audio signals for a clean, powerful sound. The balanced XLR outputs allow direct connection to a professional PA system while you monitor your mix via the booth outputs and the separate 1/4" and 3.5 mm headphone outputs. A 1/4" TS microphone input is also available to integrate vocals or external instruments into your performance setup.

Dedicat ed controls for Serato DJ let you quickly create and trigger Hot Cues, loops, TR sounds, sequencer patterns and samples, and switch between the four Serato decks using the Deck Select button. Use the channel filters or Serato FX (selectable via three FX buttons per deck) to refine transitions or accentuate scratches.

Authentic Scratching

The large platters on the DJ-505 operate with minimal latency for a responsive, lag-free scratch performance comparable to traditional turntables. Illuminated outer rings around the jog wheels give you an immediate visual status of each deck. As with the DJ-808 and DJ-202 controllers, the top platters of the DJ-505 are made from brushed aluminum, delivering outstanding feel and long-term durability.

The DJ-505 includes bass drum, snare drum, closed hat, open hat, tom, rim, clap and ride sounds from the TR-808, TR-909, TR-606* and TR-707* and offers plenty of options for creating layered drum sounds and sequences. You can fine-tune TR drum sounds and Serato samples with dedicated controls for level, attack, decay and tune, and create sequences via the famous step-based TR-S pad interface.

Remix, Produce, Perform

The feature set of the DJ-505 combined with deep Serato DJ integration opens new creative possibilities for aspiring DJs and producers, enabling remixing, producing and performing on a single compact device. Use the 16-step sequencer to program drum patterns with TR drum sounds or the Serato sampler and sync your beats to your Serato DJ tracks to create unique transitions, live remixes, refreshed classics or entirely new standalone music.

Use the Inst-Rec mode for spontaneous sampler sequencing in real time or take advantage of the Serato sampler’s advanced features to layer and sync multiple audio tracks or loops across the eight sampler slots. The DJ-505 also features a MIDI output to precisely sync your external MIDI gear and instruments with the TR-S sequencer.
