Designed for seamless integration with PreSonus StudioLive Series III consoles/recorders, the PreSonus NSB 16.8 stagebox offers 16 inputs and eight outputs for transmitting audio signals between stage and mixer over an AVB network, allowing quick and easy configuration.

In an AVB network, all signals travel over a lightweight CAT5e or CAT6 network cable, meaning you can forget about heavy, expensive copper multicore cables and signal loss over long distances. Plus, the inputs, preamps, and phantom power of your NSB 16.8 can be remotely controlled—either via a StudioLive Series III mixer connected to the network or with the free PreSonus UC Surface software featuring touch control.

What Is an AVB Network?

An audio network offers far more than just digital multicore connections. In an AVB network, you can connect digital audio devices over long distances using CAT5e or CAT6 Ethernet cables and distribute your audio signals across the network with extremely low latency. That’s why we designed a sturdy steel housing for the NSB 16.8 that can handle the rigors of daily touring, plus added two robust handles.

Thanks to its typical stagebox dimensions, the NSB 16.8 not only looks great on stage but can also be rack-mounted with optional rack adapters. Additionally, the NSB 16.8 is compatible with Ace Backstage floor tanks.

Pack It in the Tank

The ACE Backstage floor tank #175SLBK Stage Pocket (not included) is permanently installed in the stage floor and prepared to house network-capable PreSonus stageboxes (NSB 8.8, NSB 16.8). There, they’re safely stored and quickly accessible when needed.

The PreSonus NSB easily slides into and out of the ACE Stage Pocket nesting frame. Inside the floor tank, the NSB is secure while connection cables are neatly routed through openings in the hinged lid onto the stage. If you need additional I/Os on stage, the floor tank also has space for another 1U rack panel.
