The integrated amplifier and speaker system of the Pa700 has been noticeably improved and delivers an extremely powerful and detailed sound. The built-in video output allows song lyrics to be displayed on an external screen for sing-alongs. The PCM memory has been quadrupled compared to the popular Pa600, and the user PCM memory has been expanded to 256 MB. The number of user style memory slots has also been increased to a maximum of 1,152, providing ample storage for virtually any conceivable style.

KAOSS FX is a brand-new feature that enables spontaneous, creative intervention during performance. From subtle crossfading between variations and drum kit types or gently mixing accompaniment sounds to distorting ongoing rhythms radically, tape delays, and DJ-style arpeggios, this easy-to-use, computer-assisted function allows styles or MIDI songs to be enhanced in real time with high-quality effects.

The 2 x 25 watt amplifiers with 2 speakers in bass reflex enclosures deliver a nuanced, full-bodied listening experience. The optimized control panel supports a naturally flowing performance with ergonomically and intuitively arranged knobs. The newly developed graphical interface of the large, bright TouchView display remains very readable even in low light. The versatile search function quickly finds recently used songs, styles, or files and much more! Styles, keyboard sets, and SongBook entries can be read directly from USB media without loading data into internal memory.

The Pa700 operates with KORG’s complex EDS-X (Enhanced Definition Synthesis-eXpanded) sound engine and comes factory-equipped with more than 1,700 ready-to-play, highly realistic sounds. This collection offers a huge selection of classic and modern keyboards, band and orchestral instruments, as well as electronic and acoustic instruments—from techno to folk. Newly added are two multilayer stereo grand pianos (with damper and body resonances) and electric pianos from the popular KORG SV-1 stage piano. The electronic organ features digital drawbars, key on/off noises, leakage effects, and a rotary speaker emulation. Additionally, the Pa700 offers new wind instruments, strings, basses, and even acoustic and electric guitars. All sounds have been meticulously recorded using state-of-the-art methods, preserving even the finest details.

With three assignable buttons and a 4-way joystick, KORG’s innovative DNC (Defined Nuance Control) reproduces the subtle nuances and articulations of acoustic instruments, enabling ultra-realistic, expressive performances—all in real time and on demand. Bring solos or melodies to life with the growl effect of a passionately played saxophone, the various attack techniques of a trumpet, the breath noises of a clarinet or harmonica, and fine characteristics that add authenticity to pizzicato and arco sounds in a string section.

106 authentic drum kits—including ambient drums—make rhythmic passages a musical pleasure. The Drum Family Easy Editing function allows total control over volume, pitch, EQ, and more. Custom sounds find ample space in the compressed PCM user memory of up to 256 MB, and compatibility with the General MIDI (GM) soundbank and GM files has been further improved. The Pa700 can load/import KORG, WAV, AIFF, and SoundFont formats and export WAV or AIFF. Its sounds are fully editable and can use up to 24 oscillators per note!

The Pa700 ORIENTAL version includes all the functionality of the standard Pa700 and features an additional mini keyboard on the left side for adjusting quarter-tone scales and quickly recalling scale presets. Besides conventional musical resources, the Pa700 ORIENTAL also contains sounds and styles typical for Middle Eastern music genres. Ouds, bouzuks, kanouns, various percussion instruments, and many more sounds are complemented by dozens of styles tailored to traditional and modern music styles.

Always Well Styled

Each of the more than 370 styles of the Pa700 creates its own musical world and reproduces a specific music style. The selection is huge and offers direct access to a broad range of musical genres. Every style offers 4 fill-ins + break patterns—one per variation. With the new auto fill function, you can trigger them automatically while moving between the four variations. KORG’s international sound team has created many new styles and also enhanced many popular and well-known styles with new sounds and mixes. The Pa700 provides a total of 1,152 memory slots for new styles and settings.

The Guitar Mode 2 has been upgraded with new complex parameters, giving guitar tracks in all styles unprecedented authenticity. The four pads allow further embellishment of each style. Each pad can contribute unique or repeating riffs, percussion parts, accent sounds, or even sound effects. The handy chord sequencer function lets you spontaneously record and loop chord progressions in style play mode to practice harmonies or free your left hand during live performance. These chord sequences can now also be saved as styles and SongBook entries for instant recall.

Thanks to the completely new integrated "Standard MIDI File to Style" converter, you can quickly and comfortably use styles of the latest songs! Simply get a new standard MIDI file, load it into the Pa700, convert it into a complete KORG style, and simultaneously create a chord sequence from the song’s chords.

Studio-Quality Effects

The Pa700 is equipped with the best studio-grade effects from the popular KORG library. You can apply 2 insert and 2 master effects to accompaniment tracks and 1 insert and 2 master effects to melody tracks. There are 148 effect types available, including reverbs, delays, vintage effect emulations, amplifier and cabinet simulations, and much more. Additionally, each track can be processed with low, mid, and high EQ controls, and a special track EQ can be saved in song play mode—ensuring the song sounds perfect in any environment. Global effects allow you to tailor the overall sound to personal taste or challenging live settings.

Sing Naturally

Simply connect a dynamic microphone, adjust parameters like EQ, compressor, gate, reverb, and delay, and the voice sounds like a studio production. With the vocal remover, you can even remove the lead vocals from MP3 songs and sing along yourself.

Enhance Guitar Sound

Just connect the guitar to the special input on the back and process it with pedal and studio effects from Guitar FX. Choose from some of the best KORG guitar effects such as tube amplifier sounds, realistic distortion, chorus, delay, and high-quality studio reverbs.

Player/Sequencer

The player supports not only common text formats but also the MP3+G (alias MP3+Graphics) format for MP3 files. Thanks to this feature, you can play backing sequences with extended lyrics and graphics and display them simultaneously on the integrated TFT display and an external monitor. There is also a convenient marker function that lets you jump directly to a selected song position. A vocal remover mutes the center music channel to remove vocals from MP3 files.

The 16-track sequencer offers complex sequencing methods and a backing sequence function for comfortable song creation and editing. Complete performances can also be recorded directly with the Pa700! Play a song, accompany it on the keyboard, sing along, and record everything in MP3 format. Then save the recording on an external USB medium or internal memory. Finally, the Pa700’s notation display shows the selected track of a song in clear, traditional notation, including chords and lyrics, on the display. Chord names can be shown in English or Italian. For those learning notation, note names can be displayed alongside the symbols.

SongBook

The SongBook is a freely programmable and easy-to-search music database that unites all settings needed to play a song—the ideal tool for live performances. Whether playing with styles, MIDI files, or MP3s, the SongBook houses all important song information such as song title, genre, artist, tempo, volumes, sound assignments, muted tracks, effect and easy edit settings, 4 keyboard tracks, TC Helicon presets, master transpose, and much more. The updated set list function allows assigning control panel buttons for lightning-fast access to settings during live gigs.

With the SongBook Editor, you can easily view, create, and edit SongBook entries and set lists for the KORG Pa series on a PC. You can even sync it with iOS and Android tablets and use it for external display of music notation (third-party software required). The SongBook contains everything indispensable for a perfect song performance. This useful feature is exclusive to KORG instruments.

Improved Connectivity

MIDI connections are now also possible via the USB HOST port (in addition to USB DEVICE and MIDI ports). This allows easy connection of controllers like digital pianos (e.g., HAVIAN 30) or the KORG nano and micro series without special adapters.

Keyboard Stand

The very sturdy double-braced keyboard stand provides secure support for all common stage pianos, master keyboards, portable keyboards, and synthesizers up to a maximum of 30 kg. Its extremely robust construction makes it ideal for tough everyday use on stage. The practical quick-release allows easy adjustment to 5 different heights. This lets every musician find an ergonomic and comfortable playing position. The robust rubber sleeves offer absolutely slip- and scratch-resistant support, and the practical floor protectors (4 on the feet and 2 on top) provide extra stability even on uneven surfaces. To shift weight or compensate, the rubber protectors can be rotated and adjusted as needed. For long-lasting durability, all metal parts are coated with a durable powder finish. Of course, it can be completely disassembled quickly for easy transport and space-saving storage.

Keyboard Bench

Despite its compact dimensions, the Classic Cantabile keyboard bench offers excellent seating comfort. The padded seat is covered with elegant black faux leather and can be easily cleaned if necessary. The bench is height-adjustable in 3 steps via a screw on the X-frame of the legs. When setting up, one leg is simply hooked under the seat surface and fixed with two screws. Rubber feet ensure a non-slip stand.
