Ibanez RG Prestige for Precise 7-String Performance!
The Ibanez RGR762AHBF Prestige combines Japanese build quality with the uncompromising playability of the RG series and targets guitarists who demand fast response, stable hardware and a clearly defined 7-string sound.
Prestige Quality From Japan
The Prestige series at Ibanez stands for precise workmanship, high reliability and a playing feel that stays controlled even during technically demanding parts. As part of the RG family, this electric guitar brings the typical focus for rock, metal, progressive and modern fusion styles. The bolt-on neck-to-body joint ensures direct response, while the ash body with brilliant resonance and rich sustain provides the foundation for a dynamic, transparent tone.
Fast Wizard-7 Neck
The 5-piece Wizard-7 neck of maple and wenge is thin, flat and designed for maximum control. Its stable construction makes it ideal for fast runs, wide position shifts and precise rhythm work across all seven strings. The bound rosewood fingerboard delivers a balanced tonal picture with full mids and pleasant warmth. Jumbo frets with Prestige Fret Edge Treatment support a smooth feel up into the highest registers and make bends, legato lines and complex chord voicings comfortably playable.
DiMarzio PAF 7 Humbuckers
The two passive DiMarzio PAF 7 humbuckers deliver an open, musical sound with clear lows and rounded highs. This keeps the low seventh string defined without overloading the overall tone. The 5-way switch offers versatile tonal options, from punchy rhythm sounds and transparent clean passages to singing leads. With one volume and one tone control, operation stays direct and stage-ready.
Reliable Hardware for Everyday Use
The Gibraltar Standard III-7 bridge reliably transfers string vibration to the body and provides a comfortable rest for the picking hand. Gotoh MG-T locking tuners increase tuning stability and make string changes much easier. The Graph Tech BLACK TUSQ XL nut supports clean string guidance, while the black hardware rounds off the professional overall look. With a hardshell case and additional accessories, the guitar is ready for stage, studio and rehearsal.
