With 1,144 high-quality instrument sounds, 86 drum and effects kits, 480 XG voices and 473 accompaniment styles, this powerful keyboard workstation offers extensive possibilities for live performances, composing and everyday music-making. Authentic Arabic, Turkish and Persian sounds, an adjustable Scale Tune function, Crossfade Portamento and modern performance tools make the PSR-A700 an expressive instrument for traditional and contemporary oriental music.
Authentic instrument sounds and oriental rhythms
The high-quality AWM stereo sampling sound engine delivers detailed, dynamic sounds with a maximum polyphony of 128 notes. A total of 1,144 voices, 86 drum/SFX kits and 480 XG voices are available, including 306 oriental instrument sounds and 44 oriental drum kits. Traditional instruments such as the oud, qanoon and nay stand out with their distinctive timbres. The 226 Super Articulation Voices provide especially natural articulations and musical embellishments. The keyboard also offers 473 accompaniment styles, including 279 oriental styles, for creating varied arrangements and authentic rhythms.
Oriental scales
The integrated Scale Tune function lets you precisely set different scales and oriental tunings. Twelve scale types and five instantly accessible memory locations make it easy to adjust settings during a performance. Crossfade Portamento supports natural, smooth pitch transitions for traditional embellishments, glissandi and legato passages. Use the integrated joystick to control pitch and modulation in real time. Two assignable knobs provide further creative control.
Flexible accompaniment
The comprehensive accompaniment function supports you with professionally arranged styles, various intros, fill-ins, variations and endings. The Chord Looper lets you store and play back up to eight chord sequences, so you can focus fully on melodies and improvisation while playing. Smart Chord simplifies the input of complex chords. In addition, 257 Multi Pad banks are available, each with four pads for instantly triggering additional phrases and rhythmic elements. Eight Registration buttons and a Playlist function make it easy to organize your preferred settings for rehearsals and live performances.
Expandable sounds
With around 700 MB of expansion memory, you can add more instrument sounds and accompaniment styles to the PSR-A700. Yamaha Expansion Explorer makes it easy to manage compatible expansion content. Bluetooth 5.0 Audio lets you wirelessly play music from compatible mobile devices and perform along with it. USB-C connects to a computer and supports integration into digital production environments. Other connections include USB-A, a microphone/guitar input with effects, an AUX input, stereo line outputs, a headphone jack and two foot pedal jacks.
Powerful sound and convenient operation
The built-in stereo speaker system, with two 12 cm speakers and 2 x 15-watt amplification, delivers powerful, balanced sound. For larger sound systems, connect the keyboard to external powered speakers or a PA system via the line outputs. The 4.3" TFT color display with 480 x 272 pixels provides a clear view of important settings. The touch-sensitive keyboard offers five sensitivity levels for a playing response tailored to your preferences. Whether at traditional music events, on stage, in the studio or practicing at home, the Yamaha PSR-A700 combines authentic oriental sound worlds with versatile features and intuitive operation.
