Mit der PC12MHCE-OPN offeriert Ibanez eine offenporige Grand Concert, die sich dank verkürzter Mensur mit 634mm ideal für Blues und Fingerpicking eignet.
Die geringere Saitenzugkraft liefert eine weiche Bespielbarkeit und lässt das Ziehen der Saiten deutlich leichter werden. Darüber hinaus unterstützt eine Decke aus Okoume den markant mittigen Sound, die dieser Grand Concert die entsprechende Durchsetzungskraft verleiht.
Zudem liegt das Soft-V Halsprofil angenehm in der Hand, während eine kompensierte Stegeinlage aus Graph Tech TUSQ für eine saubere Intonation und eine flache Saitenlage sorgt.
Für den Einsatz auf der Bühne steht der hauseigene Ibanez AEQ-2T Pickup zur Verfügung, der mit einem natürlichen Klangbild, einem 3-Band Equalizer und einem Stimmgerät brilliert. Für den Einsatz in den höheren Lagen wurde ein Cutaway implementiert.
