The JCM800 Centerpiece!

Pure Marshall tone: the 2203 model is regarded as the JCM800 amp! The 100-watt head with master volume was the heart of the series and still stands as the number one sound reference today when it comes to honest, punchy and overtone-rich lead tone.

The Sound Of The Eighties

With the New Vintage series Marshall reissued the original, which was introduced in 1975. Incidentally, the original 2203 still carried the look of the 1959 back then. The reissue faithfully follows the head's most popular design - in the style of the JCM800 series born in 1981 with a continuous front panel. As part of the JCM800 series, the 2203 was probably the most-played amp of the 80s.

Useful Extra Feature: FX Loop

With the Vintage Reissue series the 2203 gains, in addition to the best reproduction of the original sound, a single feature that deviates from the original: its serial effects loop. This can of course be switched via a hardware bypass so that, when used without effect units, the original circuit remains available unchanged.

The Perfect Sound Reissue

With its authentic circuit the New Vintage model is in no way inferior to the original - on the contrary: while the originals exhibited noticeable tonal differences between individual amps due to the higher component tolerances of the time, such production spread is practically excluded today in the age of CE regulations.

Exclusive Production Processes

Like all Marshall reissues, the 2203 is not a product of mass production. Only extensive handwork combined with top-quality components guarantees authenticity in tonal character and visual appearance.

Safety Up To The Latest Standards

One of the largest cost drivers in manufacturing the reissues stems from the fact that amplifiers developed decades ago must comply with EMC and safety regulations introduced only recently. This is by no means a given in the field of tube amplifiers.
