Engl Ironball 20 Head Special Edition E606SE - 20 Watt All-Tube Head with Power Soak!
This amplifier was designed to serve as the missing link between the analog and digital worlds.
Sonically, Engl made no compromises—there are no semiconductors in the signal path to keep the tone as pure as possible. This amp is truly an all-tube head. Essentially, it’s a two-channel amplifier with boostable channels. The clean channel delivers shimmering cleans and gently breaks up at higher settings. Thanks to the gain-boost function, you can push the channel to achieve beautiful shimmering crunch tones.
The lead channel picks up where the clean channel leaves off, offering a massive amount of gain and can even be boosted for added versatility. This channel is perfect for any kind of rock and metal music. Engl used digital components for the MIDI system, effects section, and impulse response loader. The built-in power soak lets you play late at night or whenever higher volumes are unacceptable. It also allows you to drive the amp’s power stage into saturation even at low volumes.
