The little Vox does indeed manage to create a Brian May or Queen feeling via good headphones. However, the quality is (toy) mediocre.
Just something for the bedroom or a quiet corner. As an old tinkerer, I naturally tried to connect the "red car key" to an amp. With the tube amps used, the background noise is effectively greater than the fun of playing. With smaller transistor amps, it sounds more inviting and less noisy. I'll definitely pack it in my guitar case for my vacation and try to get closer to the sound of the graying master of the Red Special. As every musician is also a child gamer, this little piece would be a really cool addition and good advertising when buying a red May guitar. There's really no quicker way to conjure the Queen guitar sound out of a suitcase!

After my better half has complained that the floor in the living room shakes when I practice in the basement with my bass amplifier so had to get a simple solution. So times the VOX amPlug 2 bass ordered, together with a new headphone.
Delivery as usual fast. Then plugged the little thing times and tried. Positive: the plug fits in both basses, even with the Ibanez SR 304 with its connector in Sratocaster style goes without problems. However, you hear noises when the thing turns in the socket.
The operation is not too complicated. 3 gain levels, 3 knobs for volume, tone and volume of the rhythm unit. That has only 3 rhythms, but ok, for that we still have a 3.5mm jack to connect an MP3 player. Runs with me from the tablet with Mobile Sheets Pro, perfect for practice.
Negative: The volume in the headphones is not particularly high for my liking. Since I would have expected more. In addition, the bass sounds a little "bubbling". A slight background noise of the amplifier can also be heard.
Overall, quite a nice part to be able to practice bass with headphones.
