Fender Custom Shop 1960 Telecaster Custom With Authentic Heavy-Relic Character!

This limited Fender Custom Shop Telecaster combines the classic early-'60s construction with carefully selected tonewoods, hand-wound pickups and a thoroughly aged Heavy-Relic finish. The two-piece alder body, quarter-sawn maple neck and glued-on rosewood fingerboard provide a traditional foundation for immediate response, precise articulation and the characteristic Telecaster tone.

Classic Telecaster Custom Construction

The two-piece alder body follows the historic Telecaster Custom build and features binding on both top and back. The familiar body shape offers balanced ergonomics and a direct connection between pick attack and instrument. The fixed Telecaster bridge supports clear response and stable string routing. The aged pickguard, nickel- or chrome-plated hardware and relic components carry the concept of a decades-played instrument right down to the smallest detail.

Quarter-Sawn Maple Neck With Large-C Profile

The neck is made from quarter-sawn maple and is shaped with a substantial Large-C profile. The glued-on rosewood fingerboard has a 9.5" radius and is fitted with 21 Narrow-Tall frets in 6105 format. This combination delivers a traditional feel with comfortable playability for chords, bends and precise single-note work. Vintage clay dots underline the period-correct orientation. The 25.5" scale provides the typical string tension of a Fender electric guitar, while the bone nut ensures defined string contact at the nut.

Hand-Wound '58 Telecaster Pickups

Two hand-wound '58 Telecaster single-coil pickups handle the electric conversion. The neck pickup offers a clear, balanced response while the bridge pickup delivers the snappy, cutting character of a classic Telecaster. The Fat-'50s Tele wiring forms the appropriate electronic basis and enables traditional Tele sounds from transparent rhythm tones to focused lead sounds. Relic control knobs and an aged switch tip fit seamlessly into the overall concept.
