Ein weiteres metaltaugliches Modell für den langjährigen Iron Maiden Gitarristen Dave Murray: die Dave Murray California Series Stratocaster. Das Signature-Modell basiert auf Murrays bewährter Bühnengitarre und ist eine Kombination aus ehrwürdiger traditioneller Strat und dem modernen Biss von drei Seymour Duncan Humbuckern.
Natürlich gehören zu dieser Gitarre auch ein schnelles Compound-Griffbrett und ein leistungsstarkes Floyd Rose System an Sattel und Bridge.
California Inspiration
Vom California-Original inspiriert Man sieht ihr an, dass ihr Design unmittelbar von Murrays Original-Gitarre aus der California-Serie inspiriert wurde. Mit ihr spielte er unzählige Gigs und leistete über Jahrzehnte hinweg einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Entwicklung des Metal-Genres.
HHH Pickup-Kombination
Brettharter breiter Metalsound und viel Output: Genau das liefern die beiden extrem gut ansprechenden Seymour Duncan Hot Rails SHR-1 Strat Humbucker (Hals und Bridge). Für Ausgewogenheit sorgt der schmale JB Jr. Humbucker in der Mitte. Ja, auch das ist ein Humbucker, kein Single-Coil.
Floyd Rose R3 Double-Locking Tremolo
Murrays Signature Strat übersteht auch das brutalste Shredding mit unerschütterlicher Stimmstabilität. Dafür sorgen die Komponenten des Floyd Rose Double-Locking Tremolos mit Klemmsattel und Saitenfixierung an der Bridge.
Griffbrett im Compound-Radius
Bei dieser Griffbrett-Variante verändert sich der Radius im Verlauf der Länge. Das trägt enorm zum Spielkomfort bei. Am Sattel ist es stärker gekrümmt, weshalb Du hier leichter Akkorde greifen kannst. In Richtung Body wird es immer flacher und etwas breiter, was Dich beim Spielen von Soli und Bendings unterstützt.

Hier erinnert jedes Detail an den Iron Maiden Gitarristen: die typischen versetzten Deluxe Staggered Tuner und Murrays Signatur auf der Kopfplatte.

Handling from the logistics company worried me when I saw a whole in the side of the box when it arrived but the box the guitar was in was undamaged and the guitar arrived in perfect condition.
The guitar has a very high build quality, better than other Mexican strats I 've seen and played.and the guitar itself plays amazingly.
Negative, the flloyd was set to a floating position which is not how it's meant to be set on this guitar, it should be resting on the body like Dave has it. After fixing that though the guitar tuning stability was perfect!
Positives: for anyone who loves maiden this guitar won't disappoint, the sounds this guitar makes from cleans to overdrive are spot on and the playability is fantastic, I own a few guitars in various price and tone catagories and this one is the most versatile and is is to play. And as a big fan of Dave and iron maiden this guitar will never leave my collection.
