Ibanez AS93SP-BK Hollowbody Electric Guitar in Black!
The AS is a semi-acoustic guitar suitable for almost all music styles. The pickups are mounted directly on the center block to enhance sustain and prevent feedback.
Over a long period, Ibanez has energized the hollow-body guitar market with a variety of designs ranging from rock-oriented semi-hollow hybrids to traditional jazz boxes. The Artcore Expressionist line marks a new chapter in the Artcore story.
What’s the Expressionist Difference?
Jazz fans will recognize the original Ibanez Super 80, the preferred pickup of George Benson, Pat Metheny, and John Scofield in their signature models. It’s a favorite among jazz players but has also proven itself in many other settings. Warmth, balanced articulation, and excellent response are the main features of the Super 80 pickups.
The AS93SP features a 3-piece Nyatoh/Maple neck, a Macassar ebony fretboard, and a top, back & sides made of linden. Additionally, the guitar is equipped with Super 80 pickups, a Gibraltar Performer bridge, and a Quik Change Classic tailpiece.
