Gretsch G6136TGQM-59 Limited Edition Quilt Classic Falcon Forge Glow

Gretsch Quilt Classic Falcon - The Legendary Hollow Body In Limited Edition!

The Gretsch G6136TGQM-59 Limited Edition Quilt Classic Falcon pairs the unmistakable Falcon character with an exceptionally figured quilted maple construction and classic 1959-style appointments. As part of the Professional Collection, this Japan-made hollow body electric targets players who want traditional Gretsch construction, distinctive Filter'Tron tones and an elaborately crafted finish.

Quilted Maple And 1959 Trestle Bracing

The 2.75" deep hollow-body is built from laminated quilted maple. The arched top and arched back not only reflect classic Falcon construction but the strong figuring gives the instrument a unique personality. Inside, Gretsch uses the 1959 trestle bracing. Bound F-holes and multi-layer body binding emphasize the traditional design of this limited edition.

Classic Gretsch Playing Experience

The glued maple neck features the proven Standard U profile and carries an ebony fretboard with a 12" radius. Mother-of-pearl Neo-Classic Thumbnail inlays echo the typical Gretsch aesthetic. With a 25.5" scale, 22 medium-jumbo frets and a bone nut, the design combines familiar Gretsch details with a generous scale length. Grover Imperial tuners complete the classic hardware setup.

Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter'Tron Pickups

Two TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter'Tron pickups form the electric heart of the guitar. Controls include separate volume knobs for neck and bridge pickups plus a master volume. A 3-way pickup switch selects bridge, bridge/neck or neck pickup, while an additional 3-way tone switch handles tone shaping. The control layout stays firmly rooted in classic Gretsch tradition.

Bigsby, Space Control And Gold Hardware

Characteristic appointments include a Bigsby B6GVT vibrato tailpiece. The Space Control bridge sits on a fixed ebony base and, together with the Bigsby, forms a traditional Gretsch hardware concept. Gold hardware, Grover Imperial tuners, the gold plexi pickguard with Gretsch logo and Falcon graphic, plus Jeweled G-Arrow control knobs continue the elaborate styling. The gloss nitrocellulose finish completes the vintage-oriented design. A matching Gretsch G6242L 17" Deluxe Hollow Body Case is included.
