I am thrilled with the 311h, both in terms of workmanship (which is significantly better than Squires in the 400-500€ range), as well as sound and feel. The pickups do a very good job and, to my surprise, do not need to be replaced as I have often heard before. The P90 delivers a full sound, even if it captures a bit more ambient noise compared to the humbucker. Highlight for me is the locktuning mechanism, the 311h holds tuning amazingly well. The factory wound strings are fine too, won't change them until the next gig. As for weight, it's not the lightest, though noticeably lighter and more comfortable to carry than my Les Paul Tribute. All in all, a guitar that is suitable not only for beginners, but also for advanced in the gig context and is well worth the money.
