A lovingly crafted tribute to a blues legend!
The Epiphone B.B. King Lucille is based on the famously notorious guitars of blues legend B.B. King and was inspired by the various Gibson ES models he played over the years – all bearing the name Lucille. Standout features that make this Lucille such a stunning guitar and heartfelt homage include gold hardware, Grover Rotomatic tuners, a Graph Tech nut, an ebony fretboard with pearloid block inlays, a brass truss rod cover engraved with B.B. King’s name, a mother-of-pearl Lucille inlay on the headstock front, multi-ply binding on the body and headstock, a TP-6 tailpiece with fine tuners, and a semi-hollow body with a maple center block to reduce feedback.
Unlike most semi-hollowbody guitars, the top of the B.B. King Lucille has no F-holes; B.B. himself requested this feature to further minimize feedback. The electronics are equally impressive, featuring a six-position Varitone switch, a pair of Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers wired with CTS pots, and stereo and mono output jacks for maximum flexibility. An EpiLite case is also included.
