With an EMG 81 in the bridge position, you can hardly go wrong in terms of sound anyway, but it's the little extras like the Floyd Rose vibrato system, the Grover tuners (unnecessary in itself with a clamp saddle, but that's what makes it an "extra") and the excellent workmanship that make this instrument a true jewel of the mid-price class.

The sound and the playability is really top! You really can not say otherwise! I had the Ltd EC-1000 Duncan in the store in hand and was totally thrilled! In retrospect, however, I must say the guitar is already quite heavy ... Not too heavy, but you notice after a 1std. Gig that it has not necessarily little weight. The guitar arrived really well adjusted at home, but I had to clean the guitar properly and when I cleaned it I noticed how dirty it really was... In summary, I can say that I no longer want to miss the guitar, it convinces in sound and handling!
