Unfortunately, you should not look closely because between body and pickup are several millimeters of space. Maybe if you want to use new ones... I don't know. I also had to tighten the pickups even though the bass passed the quality control. Well, then you just screw it yourself! The sound is very good. It's a pity that neither in the manual nor on the bass it says what the 4 controls are for. I had to watch a test video on the internet to know which knob is for what.
