Intuitive Functionality That Sparks Your Creativity

The KIT MODIFIER combines Yamaha’s decades of sound-shaping know-how into three easy-to-use knobs for AMBIENCE, COMPRESSION, and EFFECT. Thanks to Yamaha developers’ extraordinary dedication, users benefit from a wide range of sonic possibilities—from the natural sound of a drum set to the tone of a live performance and expansive effects.

The AMBIENCE knob precisely adjusts the natural room presence and reverb level of a drum kit. For an acoustic drum sound, the AMBIENCE MODIFIER blends between 0 to 50% of the recording room’s ambience and above 50% adds a high-quality reverb algorithm to the main signal.

The COMP and EFFECT knobs also use the familiar and convenient one-knob operation known from Yamaha’s PA series. The COMP effect applies global compression to the kit’s overall sound, either subtly or noticeably, while EFFECT controls the mix of internal effects. The processors remain fully customizable and offer a long list of selectable effects.

All parameters of the integrated instruments can be conveniently adjusted and modified via seven LED rotary faders. Using the fader selection button, you can choose from six presets with 14 sub-presets each, selecting the most suitable options and intuitively controlling them via the LED rotary faders.

Additionally, the LED rotary faders can be used to control connected external devices or a DAW in live and studio situations.

Yamaha’s TCS (Textured Cellular Silicone) heads offer a unique texture that ensures authentic response, realistic tension, and perfect rebound. The result is a natural playing feel you won’t want to miss. Snare and toms behave exactly as you would expect from their acoustic counterparts. The surfaces are so robust and durable that they retain their texture and playing feel over time—no matter how often you play them. The snare pad also features a detector function that allows precise determination and interpretation of the stick’s point of impact—for genuine musical expression.

Knowing how important it is for drummers to hear themselves clearly during performance, Yamaha equipped the DTX-PROX module with a powerful high-end headphone amplifier featuring minimal distortion and excellent signal-to-noise ratio. The integrated circuit delivers top-quality hi-fi sound perfectly positioned in the listening field, specially tailored to the needs of e-drums.

Live Set Function for Quick Setting Changes

The DTX-PROX features a special live set function that allows you to recall different combinations of kits, tempo settings, audio files, or backing tracks with a single button during live or streaming situations. Additionally, various setups can be enhanced with a wav-and-click sync function, including click settings with synchronized playback, a pre-count, or stopping the click after a set time to audio files.

Connect via Bluetooth® and Save Performances

The DTX-PROX’s Bluetooth® function lets you wirelessly connect your module to a smart device, portable player, or computer to enjoy your drumming alongside your favorite tracks. Furthermore, audio recordings of performances from devices connected via Bluetooth®, AUX, or USB can be made via USB storage media.

Extensive Range of Training Functions

The best practice features from previous DTX models are naturally included in the new DTX-PROX. Along with an advanced programmable metronome, the module offers versatile recording functions, 10 training types for players of different skill levels, and 37 training songs covering various genres. With the DTX10, every drummer can find the right tools for daily practice.

Includes Cubase AI

The DTX-PROX comes with a download code for the latest version of the powerful DAW solution Cubase AI. By connecting the DTX-PROX via USB cable to a DAW, all typical workflows of a modern music production environment—such as recording, editing, and mixing—can be realized with the corresponding software.
