Please note that this silicone roll-up drum pad is not a replacement for a real drum kit!

Can I use this part to record drums in a DAW program, for example? Presumably no midi signal is output, right?

There is no speaker integrated. However, you can connect any headphones and external speakers with a 3.5 mm jack.
